What other surgeries can fix Gastro-Esophageal Reflux besides fundoplication?

I had a severe case of GERD when I was an infant, in 1990. I had a correctional surgery (as my dad tells me), but all the research I’ve done says it was not a fundoplication. I have a severe scar from the surgery that runs from right underneath lower right rib cage, upwards towards the center of my rib cage. It is a good 5 inches long and 1/4 of an thick because it got infected. There seems to be a lot of scar tissue underneath the scar and sometimes (not so much anymore but a lot when I was in my preteens) the tissue underneath contracts painfully. Almost like a muscle spasm. The scar also sinks into my stomach making it seem like I have a roll. Then there is the fact that I have never been able to wear a bikini because of all the looks and comments. I’ve wanted to get this repaired or fixed or minimized for as long as I can remember but rule of thumb is you have to be 18 to have "cosmetic surgery". Now I’m 19 and one year until my wedding. He’s already seen it and it doesn’t bother him. I want to feel completely beautiful on my wedding day. But in order to get a surgery to fix it I have to know what surgery I got in the first my place. Both my dad and my mom keep telling me that it was just a GERD correctional surgery, but there has to be a name for it, right? I probably won’t be able to get it fixed anyways because it is considered a cosmetic surgery and they are so expensive. It would still be nice to know what surgery I had, or maybe if there is anyone out there who has the same scar as me.
I think I had the surgery in Bethesda, MA at the Naval Hospital. We tried to get the record from the surgery but we weren’t able to. They said they can’t mail them to me without having me mail them my original Social Security card? I live in Texas now and I never had one pediatrician. I moved around ALOT when I was a kid so my medical records are scattered everywhere.
I’ll talk to dad again and see if he remembers the name of the doctor that did the surgery.
